Our Partners

BIRDLIFE INTERNATIONAL

We are driven by our belief that local people, working for nature in their own places but connected nationally and internationally through our global Partnership, are the key to sustaining all life on this planet. This unique local-to-global approach delivers high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.

BirdLife is widely recognised as the world leader in bird conservation. Rigorous science informed by practical feedback from projects on the ground in important sites and habitats enables us to implement successful conservation programmes for birds and all nature. Our actions are providing both practical and sustainable solutions significantly benefiting nature and people.

ZEISS

To truly experience nature, you need to take inspiration from it. This is a concept which has been reflected in every single idea of Carl Zeiss’ products and services for over 165 years. Just as nature never comes to a standstill and constantly changes, Carl Zeiss is always striving with a tireless curiosity and relentless passion to question the status quo and set new standards with technical innovations.

Since 1846 this enthusiasm has enabled us to continue perfecting the performance and quality of our products as well as our customer service. Take, for example, the world’s first roof prism binoculars, the first riflescope with a prism erector system, our application-oriented product design or the construction of optics with ever better transmission values. Time and time again, we’ve impressed even the most demanding of hunters, bird watchers and nature lovers with our new innovations.

You will sense Carl Zeiss’s pioneering spirit the moment you pick up one of our products. The unconditional pursuit of perfection is reflected in every pair of binoculars, spotting scope, or riflescope made by Carl Zeiss, making us a world leader in sports optics.

BATUMI RAPTOR COUNT

Batumi Raptor Count, or BRC, is a nature conservation NGO that works to monitor and conserve the 950,000+ birds of prey that migrate every autumn through the Batumi Bottleneck. A young and forward thinking organisation, BRC has been operating from the Black Sea City of Batumi, in the Republic of Georgia, ever since 2008 when it has started the raptor-migration count covering the full autumn season. Although originally created as a monitoring organisation, after realising the scale of the hunting pressures that migratory birds face in the region, BRC’s mission has now expanded to that of a conservation and monitoring NGO.

Eagle Centre

Since 1974, the census and conservation of the globally endangered imperial eagle have been an ongoing project of BirdLife Hungary with constant support from national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Despite the success of conservation actions raptor poisoning is still a serious threat both nationally and internationally. The new EU funded LIFE project called „Conservation of the Eastern Imperial Eagle by decreasing human-caused mortality in the Pannonian Region” gives us the opportunity to continue our work in the next 5 year period during which important conservation actions will be carried out not only in Hungary, but in Slovakia, Czechia, Austria and Serbia as well.
