Brief description of the book:
The Borjomi-Kharagauli National park is located in central Georgia and is situated on the northern and southern part slopes of the Ajara-Imereti mountain range, part of the lesser Caucasus. It covers more than 76 000 hectares, which amounts to nearly 1% of the territory of Georgia. It is one of the largest national parks of Europe.
Up to 200 breeding, wintering or migrating bird species can be seen in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, that is more than half of Georgia’s birds. Such diversity of birds can be explained by different habitats represented here. There are many bird species interesting for birdwatchers. Among them are Caucasian grouse, Caspian Snowcock, Wallcreeper , etc.
